What to Expect
When you visit Sovereign Grace Bible Church, you can expect a simple, Christ-centered gathering built around God's Word, prayer, singing, and fellowship.

We are not a polished performance. We are a growing church family. Our desire is that you would be welcomed warmly, hear the Bible preached clearly, and see the gospel shaping ordinary people who are learning to follow Jesus.

Our Sunday gathering usually includes:
-
Singing together
-
A brief children's message
-
Scripture reading
-
Prayer
-
Expository preaching from the Bible
-
Fellowship before and after the service

The service is typically about 75-90 minutes.
When and Where
Sunday Worship
Time: Sundays at 10:30am
Location: 202 S Church St, Biggsville, IL 61418

We recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can find parking, get settled, and meet a few people before the service begins.

Parking
Parking directly by our building is limited. We try to prioritize the closest parking for guests, older adults, and those who may have difficulty walking. If you have accessibility concerns before visiting, feel free to contact us and we will do our best to help.

There is also plenty of street parking nearby.

In addition, we have a dedicated parking lot two blocks east of the church building with a complimentary shuttle service using our 6-passenger golf cart. If you park there, we will be glad to help you get to and from the building.
What About My Kids?
Children are welcome at Sovereign Grace Bible Church.

At this stage in our church plant, we do not currently have a staffed nursery or separate children’s ministry during the service. We do have a small cry room available for parents who need to step out with a child. You are welcome to use it as needed, but you should not feel pressured to leave the service just because your child makes noise.

We gladly welcome children in the worship gathering. You should not feel embarrassed if your children make some noise. We believe children are not an interruption to the church family; they are part of the church family.

One of our distinctives is intergenerational ministry. We want children to grow up hearing the Word of God, watching their parents worship, and learning what it means to gather with the church. We also want to encourage fathers and mothers as they shepherd their families in the faith.

As our church grows and the Lord provides more space, we hope to eventually offer nursery and Pre-K support while continuing to value children as part of the gathered church. But for now, our desire is to serve families faithfully with the space and people God has given us.
What Should I Wear?
Come as you are.
You will see some people dressed casually and others dressed more formally. We are far more concerned that you are here than with what you are wearing.
What Is the Preaching Like?
We believe the Bible is God’s Word, so preaching is central to our Sunday gathering.
Most Sundays, we preach through books of the Bible, passage by passage. This is often called expository preaching, which simply means we want the main point of the biblical text to be the main point of the sermon.
Our goal is not merely to give religious advice, but to proclaim Christ, explain God’s Word clearly, and help people respond with faith, repentance, worship, and obedience.
What Is the Music Like?
Our singing is simple and congregational. We sing songs that are biblically rich, Christ-centered, and clear enough for the church to sing together.
You may hear older hymns, newer songs, or a mixture of both. The goal is not performance, but worship.
Will I Be Put on the Spot?
No. We try to welcome guests personally, and one of our pastors will often thank guests for joining us at the end of the service. He may mention you by name if he has had the chance to meet you, but you will not be asked to stand, speak, introduce yourself, or do anything uncomfortable.
We are simply glad you came, and we want you to feel seen and welcomed without feeling pressured.
Do I Have to Give Money?
No.
Giving is an act of worship for our members and regular attenders. If you are visiting, you should not feel any pressure to give. We are simply glad you are here.
What If I Am Not Sure What I Believe?
You are still welcome.
Some people visit because they already know and love Christ. Others come with questions, doubts, wounds, or little church background at all. Wherever you are starting from, we would be glad to meet you and help you consider who Jesus is and what the Bible teaches.
After the Service
Many people stay after the service to talk, ask questions, and encourage one another. You are welcome to leave when you need to, but you are also welcome to stay and meet people.
If you would like to talk with a pastor, ask questions about the church, or learn more about following Jesus, we would be glad to connect with you.
